SPX was great, probably the best convention I've been to. I sold a lot of my new book Joe and Azat (which is in some stores right now)(but I don't think it's available on Amazon yet)(and I don't think it has been shipped to comic shops yet). I sold and traded a whole mess of mini-comics. I also sold a bunch of prints which I had only brought because me friend Kevin kept telling me they would say like crazy. He was right. I sold out of a lot of them in the first three hours. I should have printed more.

I got my books! 30 beautiful, brand spanking new copies of Joe and Azat! It was a busy day yesterday. I did some tutoring after school and then I caught a showing of Face/Off (I want to take his face... off!) with a friend and didn't get home until 11:30, but there waiting for me was a big box of my books. Awesome.
And today I picked up some mini-comics from the local printer, so I'm all set for D.C. and SPX this weekend. I got copies of my new book, copies of my old book, some free samples of my new book, and two mini-comics. If you're in the D.C. area come on by.

This Friday I'm leaving straight from the school I teach at and hopping on a plane to D.C. for the Small Press Expo. Now, before that happens I am supposed to get a whole mess of copies of my book in the mail, which I will then bring to D.C. with me. Right now, though, I don't have anything and I'm a little nervous. I want those books! I'm nervous and a little stretch and I hate, hate, hate the idea of going down to D.C. empty handed.
But anyway. The book is coming. It's so close. So, so close.

They are really good wings.
My publisher is telling me I'll be getting copies of Joe and Azat (my new book) sometime the week before SPX (the weekend of the 26th and 27th). If you're in the D.C. area you can come down and get first crack at it. You'll also get a signature and a drawing if you're there. If D.C.'s a little bit far, you can order the book online, or go to your local comic book store and tell them they should order it for you.
For more about Joe and Azat you can check out my publisher's blog.
