Deleted Scenes
Hedra is getting printed tomorrow and, unless something disastrous happens, I'll have it at MoCCA in New York next weekend (April 2nd and 3rd).
I'm excited and nervous about this book. In some ways, it feels like my first book. It's hard for me to explain why. It feels like pure comics. It's wordless. It's simple, but at the same time complex. It's experimental but pulling from some classic ideas and motifs. For me, it feels free of anything else.
And I've just realized today, that the pages I have cut or reworked actually appear to equal the pages in the book.
The pages that made it into the book are on the left. The ones on the right got cut.
The cost of experimentation.
Anyway, here are some highlights from those dumped pages.
